Thanksgiving and getting Christmas tree's

This year for Thanksgiving we headed down to Hurricane to spend the day with Bre's mom and then with her dad and Siobhon. Let me tell you two dinners is a lot harder then just one, the reason I say that is because I had to eat in portions so that I could make it to both dinners and if any of you know me I hate eating in portions. All in all it was a good day awesome dinners and great company, even though the Cowboys couldn't hold on to their little lead they had against the Saints. Well I can't lie even though I had to eat in portions it didn't slow me down, I think I just ate more pie then usual. I think I counted 7 pieces in total it was awesome. Not only did we enjoy the eating part of Thanksgiving we also got to enjoy the people in our lives that we are thankful for.

Moving on, Saturday we went to Panguitch so that we could go get Christmas tree's with my family, it was so much fun and of course there was a lot of snow on the roads so you all can see how much fun I did have. We wanted to find a taller tree this year, but we didn't know that would be harder we did find us a perfect tree though. Well I think that is all for the post I do have some pictures to post though.

The summer had to end

Bre and I kind of made a deal on who was going to write on our blog, basically it came down to each of us would write every other one so I guess it is my turn.

Unfortunatly this awesome summer had to come to an end and now we are dragging our feet everyday to go to school but luckily we both will graduate in May (if we pass our classes). Since this was the first year that I wasn't fighting fires I got to enjoy my summer with Bre without the worry of being called out. I think the best thing about this summer was we completed our goal of finishing our yard, it looks great! We aslo did a lot of fun activities with both sides of the family and we spent a lot of time just us two. On August 1st we celebrated our 2 year anniversary and we tried to recreate our honeymoon by going to Vegas, we definitly lost as much money. Oh I almost forgot on July 17th Bre's dad was married to a wonderful women, Siobhan they were married in the St George LDS temple that morning and then later that day we held a reception at our house, that was kind of our motivation to get the house done. It has been great having Siobhan become a member of our family we definitly love her. Finally two weeks before school started up we went to the Washington county parade and the fair. It was a lot of fun being with all of the nephews and the niece. they can be a handful but there is never a dull moment around them.

Even though the summer is over I still like to think that there is plenty of fun to be had because it is hunting season, I don't think Bre agrees with me but she stands beside me even during the hunt's, she is the best! Hopefully we don't get too swamped that we can't keep this blog thing updated, but we'll try our best.

I know, I know we are the absolute worst at updating our blog. Since our last post in April so much has been going on. First, we finished finals and passed all of our classes which is always a plus. Then came May. In may we basically deticated ourselves to our yard and house and yes it looks fantastic. We just put up the gates that Rob made and they look awesome. Thanks Papa Veater. We also went to California that was fun but I love Utah.

At The Beach

June was a fantastic month. We went to the Veater family reunion and had a lot of fun playin games, fishing, and 4-wheeling.
Fishin'

It was then my birthday. Derick got me a Cricket and I am loving it!! I had a blast going to the temple for Marybeth and Wally. Then shopping, Outback, and a movie. The movie was grown- ups. It was so funny I embarassed myself laughing so hard. I had so much fun.

Now it is July and the 4th was so much fun. We went to Sand Hallow and just swam at the shore with my dad, Siobion, Trent, Grant, Cera, and Teala. We went cliff diving as well. We then had a BBQ, and yet another movie (Knight & Day) which was awesome as well. Then fire works in front of the house.

In between all the bigger events there has been so much fun. We are more than enjoying our first summer together. Yes, techniqually it is our second but Derick was doing fire las summer so we are enjoying this one as our first together. I will try to stay on top of this blog situation for those who still care to check ours. :)

Finally we have grass!

We finally have grass in our yard. First of all we want to thank my dad, mom, Dave, Kim, Dallas, Kevyn, Brendon, Dusty and Sylvia for all of the awesome help. I think between mine and Dusty's yards we wore my dad and brother out, we had 5,900 square feet of sod to lay and on friday we put in a sprinkler system at my house. Kevyn and Dallas came up on Saturday to help with sod and they started our little piece of fence that we are putting in. A thanks to kev for coming up poor guy has been fighting stupid kidney stones for the last two weeks, I don't think he slowed down one bit though. Bre and I have also been painting the back fence, the part that is wood, it looks really good. It is crazy to see how much different a yard looks when there is grass.

Also this week is finals week so not only did we have a long weekend the week has been crazy too. I can't wait for school to be finished, this is the first year that I wont be fighting fires or gone somewhere for the summer so it should be pretty exciting. This thursday after my 1 o'clock final we are heading down to California to stay with Kevyn and his awesome wife to be. I just checked the weather for the weekend and it is supposed to be a whole lot nicer then it is going to be here, so yeah I think we picked a good weekend to leave.

Staying busy

Well here is a quick little update. Bre and I don't see each other very much especially during the week, we sometimes get lucky and see each other in passing at school. Thankfully we get to have Saturday's and most of Sunday together. Even though we are staying busy we are still loving life together, all I can say is Bre is awesome and I love her to death. Oh and Sadie she is growing like a weed and sometimes she is as obnoxious as a weed but she is fun. Well that is it for now.

THE HOLIDAYS

Derick and I continue to argue about who should be in charge of the blog, this is why we are always so late on updating. But the holidays were awesome. Christmas Eve Derick had to work until ten but I went to a traditional family dinner and had a blast. But I came home and we spent the night just the two of us. Christmas morning was just the two of us as well. It was one of the nicest Christmas morning I've had in a long, long time. After we opened presents we went to my dads house and had traditional scones and honeybutter with chocolate milk, eggnog, or o.j. The boys spent all day playing the Wii, while I did a make over on all of my sisters.

Make Over

On New Years Eve my family came to my house and we had a blast playing games until midnight hit. Then of course the boys went out searching for rabbits and the girls laughed our butts off continuing playing games. All of our throats were sore from laughing so much the next day. We were all up til about 5:00 am. It was a great break from school. But now we are back in our busy schedules. :(
